Signature Camps

Two-Week • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Signature Camps are only available at Camp Keff! Campers splash in the pool every week for basic swim instruction, score goals during sports, create masterpieces in art and experiment in science. Camp-wide Olympics, and Shabbat Fairs are so unique
that no two sessions are the same. Add in field trips, giant inflatables, nature hikes, camping trips with s’mores, and your camper will see why Camp Keff is known for fun!

B’YACHAD (TOGETHER)

• Basic swim instruction three times a week
• Two-night wilderness camping trip to destinations such as Memorial Park and Del Valle Regional Park
• Field trip to Bay Area destinations such as Playland Not At The Beach, Berkeley’s Adventure Playground, and Aqua Adventure

Plus, campers get to choose a specialty track to give them more time in the activities they are most interested in. If you come for more than one session you can try a different adventure or stick to your favorite! Campers are grouped by their track so they can be with other kids with similar interests.

Mix And Match Camps

ONE WEEK • 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Mix and Match is a Camp Keff exclusive program – it’s two camps in one! Create a customized week of camp that meets your camper’s interests and needs. Choose one morning and one afternoon option each session.

NEW! Extreme Cooking • Morning
Cooking has never been more extreme as you go outdoors to put your culinary skills to the test. Learn the tricks to cooking on a camp stove, with a solar oven and incorporate extreme foods like star fruit and chili peppers!

NEW! Myth Breakers • Morning
Challenge the status quo in this thought provoking look into the truth of famous myths and falsehoods. Build, discover, test, experiment, dismantle and flat out destroy in a variety of experiments designed to prove if something is fact or fiction.

NEW! LEGO Engineering Challenge • Afternoon
Accept the challenge- work cooperatively with your teammates to complete the mission. Achieving mission goals includes the construction of trucks, bridges, elevators, cranes, bulldozers, conveyor belts, and other motorized contraptions.

Gymnastics • Afternoon
Cartwheel down to Peninsula Gymnastics in San Mateo as campers learn basic skills using the trampoline, balance beam, kids’ bars, vault, and more. Develop body awareness, strength, conditioning, and self-esteem in a safe environment.

Soccer • Morning
Children thrive with this non-competitive curriculum and positive coaching style in a pressure-free environment. Have fun while learning basic soccer skills and participating in age-appropriate games and exercises.

NEW! Gardening • Morning
Dive into the world of gardening by planting flowers, vegetables and herbs in the Justice Garden here at the PJCC as well as into customized containers to take home. Learn the process of getting food from the farm to your home and be a part of our PJCC social justice initiative.

NEW! LEGO Bash’em Bots • Afternoon
Build a massive motorized machine in this advanced engineering camp. Re-engineer standard vehicles into mechanized machines that can traverse challenging obstacles. Battle against fellow bots and challenge your expert instructors in an epic showdown.

Mixed Media • Afternoon
Create incredible art using acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and colored pencils.

NEW! Food Truck Challenge • Morning
Cook up gourmet treats while working with friends to design the best menu for your food truck. Create healthy foods within the guidelines of unique cooking challenges. (Campers will not operate a real food truck.)

Watch your favorite games and apps come to life in this creative take on the world of technology. Build sets to demolish with life-sized angry birds, take a run through the temple, and produce arts and crafts directly from the pages of Pinterest.

NEW! LEGO Minecraft • Afternoon
Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure; roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools, and watch out for Creepers!

NEW! Hip Hop Dance • Afternoon
Create an exciting dance routine with your friends to perform for your family! Using a variety of Hip Hop music, props and dance moves this is a week that will turn you into the next pop star.

Ceramics and Mosaics • Morning
Discover techniques for sculpting clay and laying mosaics to make your own unique creations. Bring home your fired and glazed works of art.

NEW! Flag Football • Morning
Develop skills in one of the most exciting sports on turf! Every camper gets to work on their passing, receiving and teamwork while playing in non-competitive games each day.

Jr. Dog Training • Morning and Afternoon
(may not register in both morning and afternoon sessions)
Work hands-on with five world class, formerly rescued, stunt-trained dogs known as the Busy Bee Dogs! Navigate an obstacle course with the furry pets, race flyball dogs and learn how to throw a disc to high flying pooches. Plus bring home the skills and workbook to train your dog at home. The week long session will end with a show where the campers perform a circus routine with the dogs! Please leave your family pets at home.

NEW! Art & Architecture with LEGO • Afternoon
Build grand structures such as the Parthenon in Greece, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the tree houses of Papua New Guinea, and New York’s Empire State Building. Follow in the footsteps of master artists with LEGO interpretations of sculptures, mosaics, and stained glass.

Do It Yourself • Afternoon
Learn the tricks of the trade to make your own tasty treats, and create your own boutique favorites such as candles, soaps, and more.

ADVENTURE CAMPS

Inventionation • 6/16 – 6/20 • $425 M / $480 P

Inventors are given a series of challenges to overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors and their minds! Projects include inventing catapults, forts, a dancing robot, and a working light saber to take home!

NEW! Green Screen Flix • 6/30 – 7/3 • $340 M / $385 P
Be anywhere…and be anyone! In this live-action movie making camp, kids will get to use a green screen to transport them almost anywhere. Campers will collaborate to write, act, and direct in this special effects movie camp that can take place anywhere from outer space to under the sea!

Field Trip Frenzy • 7/14 – 7/18 • $425 M / $480 P
Action packed week of adventures visiting a different Bay Area attraction each day. Destinations include: The SF Zoo, Aqua Adventure, The Tech Museum, and more.

Build your own roller coasters, bridges, towers, and more all while learning about the science that makes it work. Every project is fun and challenging. See what genius designs you can make with your friends.

Learn how to create your own virtual worlds and design a unique and interactive video game with Freshi Game Design! Beginning Game Developers work in pairs to conceive, design and build their own original computer game.

Have you ever dreamed of having your own fashion designs come to life and walk down the runway? Here is your chance! We will learn to sew clothing and accessories that will be red-carpet ready!

Shalom (Goodbye) Session • Grades K – 6 • 8/18 - 8/22 • $425 M / $480 P
Bring the summer to an end with style! All ages, K – 6, combine to discover different locations each day like the Chabot Science Center, Golfland, bowling, and more.

TWO WEEKS • 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Keff Pop Stars • 7/28 – 8/8 • $850 M / $960 P
Learn to sing and dance today’s hottest hits just like on Glee, The Voice, and The Sing Off. Your coaches are the top-notch musical and theater professionals at Hillbarn Theatre. The two weeks culminate in a final performance, complete with a musical accompaniment, that will be sure to garner a standing ovation.

Afternoon Care: 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Playground time, games, sports, free swim, arts and crafts, and an
afternoon snack at the end of the day.

After Camp Clubs

Grades 3 – 6

After Camp Art • Tuesdays • 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Campers create works of art using clay, wood, and paint.
Two week sessions: Session 1, 2, 3, 4 • $50 M / P per session (2 classes per session).

Nutritious Lunch

Only $6.00 per meal*
