Session Themes

Book Worms

Session 1 • 6/15 – 6/26
Brown Bear, Brown Bear; Goodnight Moon; The Pokey Little Puppy — the classics that
your camper can recite! These stories come to life in creative art, cooking, and dramatic play. Explore five classics your child will fall in love with.

My Mitzvah Garden

Session 2 • 6/29 – 7/10
Watching a garden grow is one of the most exciting experiences for a young child. Little green thumbs will learn about Jewish values that teach us to protect the earth, and why beautifying the planet is a mitzvah (good deed)! They will also learn how plants grow through art, science, and hands-on gardening.

Outer Space Adventure

Session 3 • 7/13 – 7/24
Why is the sun hot? Why does the moon glow white at night? Why do the stars twinkle?
Through art and science projects, books, and visuals, future astronauts will come
home with answers to these questions and more!

Yeladim Afternoon Special Activities

Stay until 3:00 pm and choose a specialty activity or naptime.

Awesome Athletes

Sessions 1 & 3
Budding Olympians will sample soccer, basketball, and other outdoor games in a non-competitive environment. They’ll focus on basic strategy and coordination skills while building confidence both on and off the court.

Little Chefs

Sessions 1 & 2
Young chefs learn how to cook using math and science. They’ll measure and count, use colors and shapes, and learn how to identify different foods. You’ll find your little chef sampling healthy foods you never thought would never pass their lips!

Young Scientists

Sessions 2 & 3
Curious young minds will learn in the best way — through observation and hands-on activities! Fun experiments and science projects include exploring absorption, gravity, magnets, and ooey-gooey mixtures.

Naptime

All Sessions
Your child is welcome to take a nap from 1:15 – 2:45 pm (actual sleep time) in lieu of the specialty activity. Soft music is played, lights are dimmed, and backs are
rubbed after a busy morning at camp. A floor mat is provided for each child. Parents supply bedding such as a light sleeping bag and favorite “lovey”.
