The PJCC offers an exciting fitness program specifically designed for sedentary older adults who exercise less than 60 minutes a week.
FREE HEALTH INSURANCE COUNSELING & aDVOCACY (hicap)
The PJCC is now offering appointments with HICAP counselors to discuss Medicare topics such as:
- Understanding original Medicare, part A&B
- Medigap & Medicare Advantage plans
- Prescription Drug Plan / Medicare savings Programs
- Employee Group Health coverage & Retiree Health Insurance
- Medi-Cal / Long-term care insurance

The PJCC has a long tradition of service for older adults. We offer group outings, educational programs, social and volunteer opportunities and transportation.
Transportation and activity program
The PJCC offers older adults transportation to appointments, such as medical, dental, food shopping, etc.
It also provides opportunities for older adults to participate in engaging programs and activities with others.

Take your workout to the pool with this invigorating, non-impact class. Use water resistance to develop strength and cardiovascular endurance. Swimming experience is not necessary. Get Up & Go: Chip Curry - Guitar & Violin
A musician who plays over 200 shows a year, Chip grew up listening to his grandfather's songs about bulldogs, bullfrogs, mountains, cowboys and train wrecks. His guitar playing and good old-time fiddling includes golden standards such as 'I Can't Give You Anything but Love,' 'Pennies from Heaven,' 'Ain't She Sweet,' 'Ragtime Cowboy Joe.'
Get Up & Go: Impressionist Women Artists
Impressionist Women Artists: Flowers, Gardens & Families.
Artist and lecturer, Marlene Aron, discusses and presents slides of the beautiful and inspiring art of five fabulous women artists: Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, Marie Bracquemond, Eva Gonzales, and Camille Claudel. Three of them exhibited their paintings alongside Pissarro, Degas, Renoir, and Monet in the very first Impressionist exhibitions in the early 1870's. They painted their family, children, friends, and lovers, along with scenes of gardens, forests and landscapes.
Get Up & Go: Jeff Sanford - Jazz at the Center
Jeff Sanford is well known all over the Bay Area for his saxophone, clarinet and flute playing. He has played with the SF Symphony and at jazz venues all around the Bay. He is joined by pianist Andy Ostwald, active in the local jazz scene for over 20 years, for this special PJCC jazz performance.
Get Up & Go: Joy Perrin - A One Woman Band
With singing, guitar, funny stories, digital rhythm (and a possible number by her singing pup, Prairie Sue!) Joy's musical program will include Classic Americana and a rich selection of American pop music from the swinging 1920s through the 50s. There will be songs you forgot to remember and a sprinkling of International flavor that has made its way into our popular music culture.
