Specialty Programs & Classes: Early Childhood Education

All programs offer age appropriate materials and activities, such as music, arts and crafts and indoor and outdoor play. Toddlers engage in lively, enriching activities geared to their interests and attention span.

Camp Yeladim and Camp K’ton ton

Discover the fun of winter, spring and summer camps during school vacations! Summer Camp Yeladim includes swim instruction and is divided into three three-week sessions. Camp K’ton ton is a nine-week program specially designed for active two-year-olds.

Baby Picassos: Ages 2 - 4

In this class, you and your little one will create works of art to treasure. Various media will be used for your child to gain sensory exploration and develop fine motor skills, color and shape differentiation. Imaginations and creativity will soar! Extra materials fee of $40 payable upon registration. Parent/caregiver participation required. Registration required. Instructor: Art and Soul Staff.

Beginning Hoopsters: Ages 3 - 5

And the crowd goes wild! Beginning hoopsters will learn basketball basics such as dribbling, shooting and defense. Your child will thrive through positive coaching and skills will be reinforced through fun drills and actual games. Registration required. Instructor: Rebound Basketball Academy

Build It! Using LEGO Duplo: Ages 4 - 5

Every child loves to build with Duplo, so why not learn how to build fun structures, animals and vehicles that really move while learning shapes, colors and building basics? LEGO Duplo Creation is designed so students learn technology skills through fun, engaging and dynamic projects with supportive, teacher-led instruction and hands-on learning experiences. ECE Book Fair Pizza and Pajama Party!

Kids - put on your pj's and prepare to blast off for an evening of storytelling, pizza and lots of fun! Parents can shop at the Banana Seed Book Fair or head out for a few hours while kids enjoy an evening at the PJCC.

Fine Motor Fun: Ages 4 - 5

Fine motor skills are the foundation children need for successful handwriting skills and learning. Children will develop strength and coordination in the small muscles of the hand through a variety of fun fine motor games, crafts, and activities. Hand-eye coordination, trunk and shoulder stability, and object manipulation will be emphasized. Please note this class includes the use of small objects. Registration required. Instructor: Jennifer Minton, OTR/L, is a pediatric occupational therapist and the PJCC's Developmental Consultant.

Happy Feet Dance: Ages 3 - 5

Develop balance, rhythm, flexibility, coordination, and self-esteem while learning tap, jazz and ballet using fun props. Please note that this is a 50 minute program. Instructor: Laura Marsh is a staff member of Happy Feet.

Incredible Art of Cooking: Age 3 - 5

Explore healthy cooking through recipes, selecting and measuring ingredients, food preparation and tasting. $20 materials fee payable upon registration. Registration required. Instructor: Jeannie Solomon is the PJCC Nutrition and Wellness Coach and a certified chef.

Kee Tov Soccer: Ages 4 - 5

Children thrive with this non-competitive curriculum and positive coaching style in a pressure-free environment. Have fun while learning soccer basics such as kicking, dribbling, shooting, heading and goalkeeping while participating in age-appropriate games and exercises designed specifically for your child! Lil Monkey Gymnastics: Ages 3 - 5

From balance beam to bars, basic tumbling and more, your lil monkey will have a blast in this introduction to gymnastics. Budding gymnasts will also develop coordination, body awareness, strength and increase self-confidence. Please note this is a 50 minute program. Registration required. Instructor: Rebound Staff

Pee Wee Soccer: Age 3

First time preschool soccer players will develop gross motor skills, enhance coordination, promote physical fitness and increase self-confidence in a non-competitive environment. Each child will walk away from class with a passion for soccer, increased self-esteem and a smile! Registration required. Instructor: Soccer and Smiles Staff

Tiger Tots: Ages 3 - 5

In this martial arts class, children play games and practice drills that help develop balance, coordination, strength and reflexes, as well as improve discipline and listening skills. Young Rembrandts: Age 3 - 5
