In 1948, a group of enthusiastic Jewish community members brought the PJCC to life. First situated in a home in Burlingame, the Center quickly became a popular gathering space and gained notoriety as a place of compassion and a symbol of unity to all. Over the years, the PJCC continued to grow in membership and attendance (as well as physical space!), finally settling at our current Foster City address in May 2004.
Throughout the last 75 years, we’ve welcomed so many through our doors for dynamic celebrations of Jewish life and culture, vibrant conversations, invigorating fitness & wellness activities, and engaging learning opportunities—and we won’t stop now! We intend to carry on our mission of fostering belonging and meaningful connections with a diverse community, grounded in Jewish values and traditions, for years (and generations) to come.

Wishing Tree
Add your wishes and hopes for PJCC and our community to our Wishing Tree, which will be located in the lobby throughout the week and then planted permanently in Hamlin Garden.

Virtual Get Up & Go/Senior Friendship Club Social Hour: Celebration Edition

We’re bringing the party to you! Come to this free social hour to celebrate the PJCC’s 75th birthday, as well as the anniversary of the Beth El Senior Friendship Club. Spin the wheel and successfully complete 75 reps of your favorite exercises to receive the greatest gift of all – the gift of fitness! Hosted by the Fitness team.
