ההרשמה לשנת הלימודים 2020–2019 תיפתח בסוף חודש מרץ למשפחות בגד כפת ובאמצע אפריל לקהל הרחב.
הלימודים בשנת 2020–2019 יחלו בשבוע של ה-26 באוגוסט.
בגד כפת* הוא בית ספר קהילתי להוראת והטמעת השפה העברית ולחינוך יהודי ברוח התרבות הישראלית. בגד כפת הוקם על ידי אנשי הקהילה הישראלית בעמק הסיליקון בשנת 2008, והוא ממשיך להוות בית ספר של הקהילה ולמענה, תוך עידוד מעורבות והשתתפות הורים ומשפחות. לימודי העברית בבגד כפת הם שנתיים ומיועדים לתלמידים בכיתות גן (קינדר) עד י”ב. השיעורים מתקיימים אחת לשבוע בכיתה ועם מורות קבועות.
התיכוניסטים שלנו מקבלים קרדיט עבור לימודי העברית בבגד כפת כקורס שפת עולם בתיכון. הם בוחרים בקורסי העברית של “בגד כפת” למילוי הדרישה של לימודי שפה זרה לקולג’. במקביל, הם זוכים להכנה לבחינת SAT II בעברית.

Registration for the 2019–2020 school year will open at the end of March for our Beged Kefet families and in mid-April for the general public.
First week of school is the week of August 26, 2019.
Beged Kefet* is a Hebrew language after-school program for students in kindergarten through high school. It opened in September 2008 in response to the local community’s need and has been located at the OFJCC since September 2009. Beged Kefet is a community school that operates with the local community and encourages parent participation and feedback. We offer multiple-level high school classes.
Beged Kefet’s purpose is to teach the fundamentals and improve the knowledge of Hebrew throughout the four language skills—reading, writing, speaking and comprehension. In addition to teaching the language, we emphasize and incorporate learning about Jewish holidays and Israeli culture in our curriculum, as well as integrating family activities in the different grade levels. High school students who take these classes are eligible for credit towards the high school foreign language requirement and prepare for the SAT II in Hebrew.

*The name “Beged Kefet” comes from the six Hebrew letters that are emphasized (or in Hebrew, get a dagesh) when they appear at the beginning of a Hebrew word or syllable.
