Coffee Talk

Select Mondays and Thursdays • 9:00 – 10:00 am • The Nest at the PJCC Preschool

Join the conversation at The Nest on Monday and Thursday mornings! We invite families with infants and toddlers and expecting parents to meet, chat, and connect over light bites and warm drinks.

Coffee Talk meets on the following dates:

  • Thursday, January 24: Miracle mornings with Mothers Quest’s Julie Lieberman Neale
    This mini workshop led by Julie Neale of Mother’s Quest will help you create a morning practice that can start your day with more clarity and intention.  Julie will share about her own journey to a morning practice.

    She will also share the power of the Jewish morning prayer “Modeh Ani,” and how she learned from the “Miracle Morning for Parents and Families” (Lindsay McCarthy)   and implemented this practice with her own children.

  • Monday, January 28: Ditch the Diapers: Potty Training 101
  • Jeni Clancy will share strategies, tips, and support for you and your toddler in this transition. Say bye-bye to diapers and hello to feeling confident in leading toilet training for toddlers. (Registration Required)

  • Thursday, January 31: Baby & Me Story Time with the Foster City Library

Mindful Parenting with Rabbi Samantha Kahn

The Nest is thrilled to present an exciting three-part parenting series led by Rabbi Samantha Kahn. Together, we’ll explore mindfulness, meaning, and family through a Jewish lens. Join us for one or all of the following sessions:

  • Wednesday, January 16: Seeds of Joy: Nourishing ourselves on Tu B’Shevat (The Jewish holiday celebrating trees and nature)
  • Wednesday, January 30: Mud and Miracles: Moments of blessing amidst daily routines
  • Wednesday, February 13:Raising Children in an Interfaith Family
