Effective December 1, 2021, all people 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the PJCC or attend any PJCC programs, on or off campus.
Guided by our dedication to Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World), the PJCC’s Board of Directors has determined that this measure will help keep the PJCC a safe place for our community and allow us to do our part to help end the pandemic.
As a result, we are now requiring proof of vaccination for everyone 12+ years old.
Vaccine proof can take the form of:
Please see below for information specific to Center Membership and program participation.
If you have not yet provided your proof of vaccination, please do so on your next visit to the Center or next attendance at a PJCC program.
Thank you for your participation and support that makes the PJCC a safe, welcoming, wellness-focused community. As always, we’re in this together, and we’re pleased and proud to be the place you choose to spend your time living a healthy life.
Center Members: if you have not yet shown your proof of vaccination to us at the Welcome Center, please do so on your next visit to the Center.
Once you show us your proof, we will update your membership record. The date of your last Pfizer or Moderna shot, or your single Johnson & Johnson shot, will be stored in your account.
When you are ready to return to the PJCC and restart your membership, please bring proof of vaccination with you upon your first return visit.
Please bring proof of vaccination when you attend a PJCC program (such as Shabbat Unplugged, watercolors class, or drop-in game session). This also applies when attending an off-campus program, such as an adult day trip or Shababa at the Park.
Likewise, please bring proof of vaccination upon use of a guest pass for our fitness center.
Please bring proof of vaccination when you attend a volunteering event, whether on campus (e.g. MLK Day of Service) or off campus (e.g. bayfront cleanup day).
Because of the entry onto campus required for student pickup and drop-off, all Treehouse parents & guardians must provide proof of vaccination.
To provide your proof of vaccination, please visit the Treehouse office and speak with Bryna, Cole, or Carly. They will update your family record with your vaccine information.
At this time, parents & guardians who pick up or drop off children at the preschool DO NOT need to provide proof of vaccination (provided that this is their sole activity at the Center).
If your family only participates at PJCC Preschool, there is no action for you to take now.
If you are PJCC Center Members (fitness) and you have not yet provided us with your proof of vaccination at the Welcome Center, please do so on your next visit to the Center.
If your family participates in programs (e.g., Shabbat Unplugged and holiday celebrations on campus), please bring your proof of vaccination to the first program you attend on or after December 1.
Currently, we will not require proof of a booster shot for anyone.
Based on guidance by the CDC, we understand that there are not medical conditions that prohibit vaccine use. In the interest of maintaining a fully vaccinated environment, we are not offering exemptions.
Vendors, program partners, and service technicians who do their work in or on our facilities do need to show proof of vaccination. These individuals include (but are not limited to) those who work on repairs; those who work with us at Camp Keff and other programs; IT professionals; people installing art and signage; and partners who represent their organizations at our programs and events.
Those who are dropping off materials (e.g. postal workers and package delivery drivers) do not need to show proof of vaccination.
