Mah Nishtanah: How Is This Moment in Israel Similar And Different From Others In Israel’s History?
In this talk, Dr. Eva Gurevich analyzes the current war in Israel in relation to other momentous events in Israel’s history, such as pre-state riots, the 1967 and 1973 wars, and the Intifadas. This comparison will give us the perspective to see the historical factors that can influence the outcome of October 7th and the war in Gaza.
Dr. Gurevich earned her doctorate from Brandeis University, and her areas of expertise are Israel studies, modern Jewish history, and Hebrew literature. Her dissertation is titled, Reconstituting Israel: The Impact of the Six-Day War on Political Thought in the Land of Israel Movement. Dr. Gurevich has lived in the Bay Area for 15 years.
