Find rest for your body, mind, and spirit
Shabbat is considered the most important of all Jewish holidays. It is the day of rest and weekly observance of God’s completion of creation. Starting on Friday night an hour before sunset, it lasts for 25 hours until sunset on Saturday night.
Friday, May 17 • 6:30–8:30 pm • Board Room • $15
Join Rabbi Lavey Derby for an intimate dinner that he’ll be hosting bi-monthly, on Friday evenings. For a couple of hours, we’ll put down our mobile devices and set aside deadlines and duties, enjoying the company of friends old and new and reconnecting with tradition over candles, wine, and challah. This will be followed by a beautifully prepared, catered meal, allowing us to partake in good food and good company as we relax into the sweetness of Shabbat.
