Which plants have Jews relied on for protection and how have they been utilized?
Join Naomi Stein over a cup of tea to learn about the power of herbs. She’ll share wonderous properties of the botanical world that can help with aches and ailments.
Naomi Stein has taught through the Aquarian Minyan, Urban Adamah and the Northern California Women’s Herbalist Symposium. She is thrilled to be serving Shoah (Holocaust) survivors through collaboration with Jewish Family and Children’s Services, documenting their memories of Old World Jewish healing and foodways. She serves on the Sacred Land committee of Kehilla Community Synagogue, which infuses gardening with a sense of place and holy intention. This group is relandscaping the grounds with plants that are either Native or significant to Jewish Ethnobotany, striving to reduce our carbon footprint by growing the plants which we utilize for ritual and celebration.
