At PJCC Preschool, we embrace the profound importance of early childhood, recognizing these formative years as a time of exploration, curiosity, and growth. Our curriculum is designed to foster inquiry-based learning while nurturing strong relationships and instilling essential values that guide children in making the world a better place.
Our Curriculum: A Foundation for Lifelong Learning
Our curriculum is deeply rooted in the Jewish principles of inquiry (Drash), friendship (Hevruta), and ethical values (Tzedakah). Through play, hands-on exploration, and child-centered learning, we create opportunities for every child to develop confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
- Drash (Inquiry & Exploration): Learning begins with curiosity. We encourage children to ask questions, explore materials, and engage in discovery-based learning in a rich, thoughtfully designed environment.
- Hevruta (Friendship & Community): Social connections are at the heart of learning. We foster collaborative play and teamwork, helping children build strong friendships and communication skills.
- Tzedakah (Ethical Responsibility): From an early age, children learn the importance of kindness, respect, and social responsibility, reinforcing their ability to positively impact the world.

A Day in the Life at PJCC Preschool
Our daily rhythm supports cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Activities are carefully designed to ease transitions, nurture creativity, and promote confidence.
- Infants & Toddlers (6 months – 2 years): A warm, loving environment with a low child-to-adult ratio that emphasizes sensory play, secure attachments, and responsive caregiving.
- K’ton Ton (Age 2): A lively space where children explore independence through music, movement, pretend play, and structured group activities.
- Keshet (Age 3): A dynamic setting where children begin to express their identities, develop early literacy and math skills, and engage in art, dramatic play, and cooperative learning.
- Kee Tov (Age 4): Our pre-kindergarten program provides enriching experiences in literacy, science, and math, fostering critical thinking and preparing children for kindergarten success.
