The PJCC Art Gallery is proud to present Living Under Water: A Jewish Exploration of Change in which five talented artists consider how Jewish teachings inform our relationship and perspective on the critical issue of climate change.
This panel discussion will feature two of the artists behind this collaborative exhibition, Andi Arnovitz and Lynne Avadenka. They will be joined by Shaul Bassi, Professor of English Literature and Environmental Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice who invited these artists to a 3-week residency in Venice in 2018 where this project was conceived.
The panel will be moderated by Nigel Savage, who leads a think-and-do tank, the Jewish Climate Trust. Originally from the UK, he founded Hazon – today Adamah – in 2000, and under his leadership it became the largest environmental organization in the Jewish community.
