The Center for Healthy Longevity is a PJCC initiative focused on helping adults 60+ live healthier, more connected, and more fulfilling lives. It brings together physical wellness, brain health, social connection, lifelong learning, and caregiver support under one integrated umbrella.

Is the Center a physical space or a program?
Both. The Center is a coordinated set of programs, services, and experiences delivered throughout the PJCC campus, including fitness spaces, classrooms, social areas, and event venues.

Do I have to be Jewish to participate?
No. The Center is open and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities.

Is the Center only for people 60 and older?
Most programming is designed for adults 60+, but caregivers, family members, and select intergenerational programs are also included.

Is this a medical or clinical program?
No. The Center focuses on wellness, prevention, education, and social connection. It does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

CHL Pass and Membership

What is the Center for Healthy Longevity Pass?
The CHL Pass is an annual pass designed for people who want ongoing access to Center programs without a full PJCC membership.

How much does the CHL Pass cost?
The annual CHL Pass is $150 per year.

What does the CHL Pass include?
The pass includes access to designated Center programs, priority registration for select offerings, discounted program pricing, and invitations to special lectures and events.

What does the CHL Pass not include?
The CHL Pass does not include access to PJCC fitness facilities, pools, or general group exercise classes unless otherwise noted.

What’s the difference between the CHL Pass and PJCC Membership?
PJCC Membership includes full facility access and the widest range of programming. The CHL Pass focuses specifically on Center for Healthy Longevity offerings.

Can I upgrade from a CHL Pass to a PJCC Membership later?
Yes. If you decide to upgrade, our team can help when you are ready.

Do I need to register in advance for programs?
Most programs require advance registration to ensure appropriate group size and staffing. Some social or drop-in events may allow same-day registration.

Do you offer programs for people experiencing memory changes?

Is this the same as memory care?
No. The Center provides non-clinical, social, and educational programming that supports quality of life and engagement, not medical care.


Caregiver Support

Are there programs specifically for caregivers?
Yes. The Center offers caregiver-focused education, support groups, and community-building opportunities.

Do caregivers need to be PJCC members?
No. Caregiver programs may be open to the community, included with the CHL Pass, or offered at reduced cost depending on the program.

Can caregivers participate even if their loved one does not attend PJCC programs?
Yes. Caregiver support stands on its own and does not require participation by a loved one.

Are there social opportunities beyond classes?

No. Programs are wellness- and education-based and are not billable through insurance.
