Our PJCC is proud to welcome Jordan Shenker, our new Chief Executive Officer.
Jordan brings an impressive career of national JCC experience and expertise leading organizations across the country and contributing as an executive with the Jewish Community Center Association (JCCA).
Jordan joined our PJCC family on February 1, 2022, and is busy meeting with staff and stakeholders, studying our operations, and getting to know our program participants. Jordan is very enthusiastic about the aspirational possibilities on the horizon for PJCC, and he looks forward to getting to know the members of our community, and collaborating to best serve the North Peninsula.
Jordan has served the JCC world for more than 30 years. He recently completed his role as CEO of one of the largest JCCs in the country – the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, in Tenafly, New Jersey – where he led for the past six years. Prior to New Jersey, Jordan helped guide the JCC movement as Senior Vice President of Community Services for JCCA in New York, overseeing consultation and executive placement for all 175 JCCs across the country.
Previously, Jordan served as CEO for the JCC in Richmond, Virginia, and contributed to JCC operations in Houston, Texas and in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. Jordan is a much- sought-after speaker and educator. He has presented at regional and national conferences, and taught non-profit management, marketing, and professional development as a guest lecturer at the University of Richmond.
Jordan relocated to the Bay Area with his wife Tracey, who served the Jewish community through her career as a synagogue executive director. Jordan and Tracey are the proud parents of three adult sons – Joshua 27 (chief program officer at the Tucson JCC), Matthew 25 (counselor specializing in mindfulness acceptance and commitment therapy), and Eli 21 (student at Arizona State University).
