Day Trip: Ruth Asawa Retrospective at SFMOMA
Tuesday, July 15, 2025 | 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Participants discovered SFMOMA’s special exhibition Ruth Asawa: Retrospective. On this private docent tour, participants explored the full range of Asawa’s groundbreaking practice by examining works that spanned six decades of her career—including her signature looped-wire sculptures, drawings, prints, paintings, design objects, and archival material. The outing included time for a no-host lunch and for participants to peruse other galleries. This excursion was tailored for individuals aged 65 and above and included round-trip transportation from PJCC.
This Excursion was generously subsidized by the Jewish Community Federation.
Day Trip: Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site & Danville Lunch
Thursday, April 3, 2025 | 8:45 AM – 2:15 PM
Participants joined us for a guided walking tour of the Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site, exploring Tao House where the renowned playwright penned some of his most significant works, including “The Iceman Cometh” and “Long Day’s Journey into Night.” Following the tour, attendees enjoyed a vegan lunch at Blossom & Root in downtown Danville. This excursion was tailored for individuals aged 65 and above and included round-trip transportation from PJCC.
