Golf Classic

The Peninsula Jewish Community Golf Classic Committee invites you to join us for our annual golf tournament including breakfast and lunch on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the scenic and challenging Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame.

This event is a joint effort of members of four Peninsula congregations – Peninsula Temple Beth El, Peninsula Temple Sholom, Peninsula Sinai Congregation, and Congregation Beth Jacob as well as the support of the Peninsula Jewish Community Center.

We are, once again, dedicated to meeting two goals: (1) Building community through the shared experience of a golf tournament and lunch, and (2) addressing food insecurity in our community.

This year, through a fund-a-need in support of the Jewish Family and Children’s Services Food Bank, at a minimum we hope to cover the annual cost of providing fresh produce, milk, and eggs to elders and Holocaust survivors when they visit the San Mateo Food Bank. To learn more about the JFCS Food Bank, click here. All net proceeds from the Classic will be directed to JFCS. Please note that our entry fees have always been set at a “break-even” level covering golf and lunch and do not add any meaningful amount to our fundraising effort.

CHANGES THIS YEAR: This year we are focused on our fund-a-need. Based on feedback from players, we are continuing our popular live auction with a limited number of high-value items, but we are eliminating the tedious raffle, small item live auction, and silent auction. Instead, we are asking you to support our fund-a-need when you register rather than waiting until the day of the tournament. Your generous contribution will help raise valuable funds for the JFCS Food Bank while minimizing interruptions to our social time after your round of golf. And, as a thank you for your early participation, when you donate during your registration you will receive a valuable mulligan for your foursome.
