Murli Melwani headed an export office in Taiwan for 25 years. His duties included travel to various countries to canvas orders for the company. He regards his stories as the gift of his travels. He is the author of 4 collections of short stories (Ladders Against The Sky – available in the Foster City library), A 3-Act and 2 two books of literary criticism. Murli’s work was featured at India’s National Academy of Letters (The Sahitya Akademi) seminar on ethnic Sindhi writers who have contributed to the literatures of languages other than their mother tongue and selected as winner at the International Impact Book Award.
