Tisha B’Av Observance

Join us at Congregation Beth Jacob as part of the North Peninsula Jewish collaboration as we read the Book of Eicha and participate in rituals connected to the observance of Tisha B’Av (the Ninth of Av), a day of mourning and fasting.
There will be thoughts shared by area rabbis between 8:00 – 8:30 PM, followed by Evening service, Havdalah, and chanting of Eicha.
Honoring different observant levels in our community: please note that for those for whom Shabbat does not end until 9:15 PM – there will be an evening service and reading of Eicha at Peninsula Sinai Congregation in Foster City at 9:15 PM.
