Legacy Giving

Create a Lasting Legacy

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) envisions a vibrant future where our community thrives for generations to come. You have been a cornerstone of our journey through generous support of and participation in our programs. By planning for a legacy gift to the PJCC, you have the opportunity to extend your impact beyond a lifetime.

Your Legacy, Your Values, Our Future

A legacy gift is more than a financial contribution; it’s an enduring statement of your values. By including PJCC in your estate plans, you affirm your commitment to our community’s well-being and prosperity long into the future. Your legacy gift provides crucial support for programs that enrich lives, foster connection, and promote a sense of belonging. For many donors, planned giving makes it possible to make significant contributions that are beyond reach during their lifetimes, with opportunities to enjoy financial benefits during your lifetime as well.

Benefits of Legacy Giving

· Perpetuate Your Values: Ensure that your commitment to community, Jewish life, and well-being lives on.

· Honor Your Legacy: Leave a meaningful mark that reflects your beliefs and passions.

· Financial Benefits: Enjoy potential tax advantages for your estate and heirs.

Types of Legacy Gifts

Bequest in Your Will or Trust: A simple and flexible way to make a lasting impact. Designate the PJCC as a beneficiary of a percentage of your estate or specific gift amount.

The following sample provision may be helpful to you and your attorney: “I bequeath to the Peninsula Jewish Community Center, 800 Foster City Blvd., Foster City CA 94404, the sum of $ _________ * [or ________percent of my estate] for its general charitable, religious and educational purposes.”

Retirement Plan Beneficiary: Name the PJCC as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other retirement accounts, avoiding potential taxes for your heirs.

Life Income Vehicles: Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts can provide you and/or your loved ones with income during your lifetime, with the remainder benefiting the PJCC.

Life Insurance: Name the PJCC as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, creating a significant gift with potentially minimal cost to you.

Endowment Fund: Create a permanent fund during or after your lifetime to support a specific program or area of interest at the PJCC in perpetuity. This type of lasting gift ensures your legacy continues to make a meaningful impact year after year.

Legacy Society

The PJCC’s Legacy Society recognizes the visionary and dedicated donors who have thoughtfully included the PJCC in their estate plans or who have created an endowment fund during their lifetimes. Members of the Legacy Society receive recognition throughout the year and are invited to special gatherings periodically.

Please let us know! If you have already included the PJCC in your estate plans, we’d like to welcome you to the Legacy Society. Your declaration will inspire others and fosters a culture of enduring support to ensure the PJCC remains vibrant and strong.
