“Tevye the dairyman” is one of the books selected by South San Francisco Public Library for the program “Between Two Worlds: Exploring Jewish Culture and Religion through Yiddish Literature”. This program explores the timeless theme of living “between two worlds”— navigating the tensions between tradition and modernity, immigrant and American identities, and personal desires versus community expectations. The Tevye stories have been adapted for stage and film several times.
