Learn about the unique architectural artistry and cultural significance of the famed wooden synagogues in Poland (destroyed in WWII) and the remarkable dedication of the preeminent architectural historians Maria and Kazimierz Piechotka, who from before, during and after WWII into the 2000s, meticulously documented their existence, beauty, history, and significance for posterity. Following the lunch and talk, guests will have time to view paintings of Polish synagogues on display in The Sofia Davidson Collection at the PJCC Art Gallery.
