You’re invited to a special evening at a private location in San Carlos. Snacks and shmoozing begin at 7:00 PM with a no-host bar (PJCC is sponsoring vegetarian appetizers; you’ll buy your own drinks), and then we’ll hear the inspiring words of Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz. In a world centered on the self, what does it take to live a life oriented toward others? This talk challenges us to rethink responsibility, altruism, and moral courage, offering a compelling vision of ethical living that feels both demanding and deeply meaningful.
Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz is a leading Jewish ethicist and social-impact leader. As President & Dean of Valley Beit Midrash in Scottsdale, Arizona, he cultivates a vibrant, pluralistic network of learning and moral leadership engaging thousands across denominations, cultures, and faith traditions. A nationally recognized scholar, Rabbi Yanklowitz holds a doctorate from Harvard University and rabbinic ordination from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. He has authored 30 books on Jewish ethics and spirituality, written widely for major national publications, and represented Jewish moral leadership at the World Economic Forum.
