Born in Wichita, Kansas and raised in Fresno, California, Jack began playing banjo at age 12 and went on to win the 1973 United Artists’ Best Banjoist of Northern California award. Over a career spanning five decades, he has performed extensively, recorded eight CDs, worked with renowned artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Willie Nelson, The Temptations, and Chris Isaak, and founded the popular Banjo Snow Train to Reno. He is also a current member of the Cell Block 7 Jazz Band.
