Yoga Basics Workshop: Build Strength, Stability & Confidence Curious about yoga but not sure where to start? This 2-hour Yoga Basics workshop is ideal for active adults who are new to yoga, returning after time away, or looking to improve flexibility, support back health, and move with greater ease.
Led by Lakshmi Hari, who has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and has been teaching at PJCC for well over 5 years, this workshop draws from her training in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Rocket, Prenatal, and Kids Yoga. The focus is on building a strong, functional foundation through smart alignment and an intentional connection to breath.
This is not a passive class. Expect to move, learn, and gain practical tools —at a thoughtful, accessible pace.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
- Align standing, seated, and balance poses safely and effectively
- Build strength and mobility while protecting your joints and back
- Understand your body and adapt poses to work for you
- Use your breath to create stability, ease, and focus
- Use yoga props to support alignment and confidence
- Feel prepared and empowered to join regular yoga classes
Perfect for: active adults who want to move better, feel stronger, and gain confidence on the mat. No prior yoga experience required.
