From day one, our Pink Power program has been all about forward momentum. For each of the survivors who enter our innovative breast-cancer-recovery exercise program, our eye is on the prize of continual progress: improved wellness, greater strength, and increased confidence.
But now, we’re looking back with a very special purpose: honoring the achievement of everyone who’s participated in the growth and success of this program: from our participants, to our personal trainers, to our partners & sponsors… and of course, you!
We’re always grateful to hear about the impact that Pink Power @ the PJCC has had on our participants… as well as our personal trainers! Here are a few of the comments that were shared during this year’s annual lunch for Pink Power participants:
“Both Vicki and Rosalie were and are, bright lights! Meeting you and working with Rosalie was so empowering, comforting, and full of compassion. In short, it was like meeting old friends who believed in me and wanted to see me succeed. I’ll never forget falling ill during one of my sessions and Rosalie laying on the floor with me, helping me and comforting me. I felt so safe and at home in all my classes; instructors remembered my name and invited me in. It was becoming my home away from home and I look forward to being well enough to return soon!
The space you’ve created is truly a blessing; an authentic place for community and healing! Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do.

“The Pink program at PJCC is how I met Vicki, and she means the world to me. She has given me the courage and strength to keep up my fitness and to keep fighting for my health.”

We celebrate that over the last 10 years, we’ve served hundreds of participants through personalized training sessions and community classes. But we’re reminded that each of those numbers stands for individuals with their own stories of recovery, growth, and strength that go on to inspire family, friends, and others in their community.
