תוכנית זו מיועדת לתלמידים העולים לכיתות ד’-ח’, דוברי עברית, שאינם יודעים קרוא וכתוב בעברית.
המפגשים יערכו אחת לשבוע, במשך שעה וחצי. תכנית הלימודים מתמקדת בלימוד השפה תוך שיח בעברית, ברכישת מיומנויות לקראת קריאה – למידת אותיות הא’-ב’, תנועות ועיצורים, כמו גם העשרת אוצר המילים העברי של התלמידים.
בנוסף, יושם דגש על הכרת ההווי והתרבות היהודיים/ישראלים, חגים ומועדים. הלמידה תכלול מגוון רחב של פעילויות חווייתיות ויצירתיות. לצד תוכנית הלימודים, בכוונתנו ליצור אווירה מיוחדת בין ילדי הקבוצה ומשפחותיהם, באמצעות פעילויות משותפות, חופשיות ומובנות, שיתקיימו מספר פעמים במהלך השנה לקראת החגים.
שותפות ההורים: הצוות החינוכי בבית הספר פועל בתפיסה מערכתית המתייחסת לקבוצת הילדים, להוריהם,למשפחותיהם ולאפיוני הקהילה שאליה אנו שייכים. התקשורת עם ההורים תהיה בכמה ערוצים:
מפגש הורים: בחודש הראשון של השנה יתקיים מפגש קבוצתי בו המורה יציג את תפיסת העבודה בכיתה ואת התוכנית השנתית.
חגיגות ואירועים: במהלך השנה יתקיימו מספר פעילויות משפחתיות במסגרת הכיתה ובמסגרת כלל בית הספר.
דיווחים שוטפים: ההורים יקבלו עדכונים על ההתקדמות בתכנית הלימודים ועל התרחשויות משמעותיות דרך אתר האינטרנט של הקבוצה.

This program is intended for students in 4th through 8th grades who speak Hebrew but are illiterate in Hebrew. Classes meet once a week for an hour-and-a-half. The curriculum focuses on learning the language while conversing in Hebrew, acquiring skills for reading—learning the letters of the alphabet, vowels and consonants, as well as enriching the students’ Hebrew vocabulary. In addition, emphasis will be placed on the recognition of Jewish/Israeli life and culture, holidays and events, in an interactive, engaging and creative environment appropriate for this age group. Along with the curriculum, students and their families are invited to celebrate the Jewish holidays and Shabbat with us.
Parental Partnership: The pedagogical staff operates in a systemic approach that relates to the group of children, their parents, their families and the characteristics of the community to which we belong. Communication with parents will be through several channels:
Parents’ Meeting: During the first month of the school year, a group meeting will be held during which the teacher will present the annual program and classroom culture, as well as work expectations.
Celebrations and Events: During the year there will be a number of family activities in the classroom and with the school as a whole.
Regular Reports: Parents will receive updates about the program progress and significant events through the group’s website.
