PJCC was enormously proud to join JCRC as a co-sponsor of the interfaith, multicultural 26th Annual Freedom Seder, al fresco at Grace Cathedral on April 4. Kind souls and conscientious hearts came together from all communities to stand together and affirm that anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia, and hate will receive no quarter in the Bay Area, and that together we are the way forward to a more just and peaceful world.
PJCC’s own CEO Jordan Shenker hosted a contingent of staff and lay leaders for a night of honor, shared prayer, inspired conversation, and delicious California Seder cuisine.
“With its universal messages of freedom for all people, and the promise of protection for the people of Israel, Passover remains the most observed holiday among Diaspora Jews,” said Jordan Shenker. “This Freedom Seder gathered Jews from all backgrounds, joined by people from other faiths, to affirm our power to influence meaningful change. PJCC was honored to take part and I was delighted to celebrate my first Passover back on the West Coast in 30 years, at this event.”
